Jason had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Joshua Cramer, who currently serves as the chair of the Practice Advancement (COPA) Committee for the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Society. Over the past few episodes, we've recently heard a few references about the "going away" of the graduate assistant model. We're learning that this is having a significant impact on many settings in the athletic training profession.
It seemed like an opportune time to speak with someone who recently was in this position, and hear about their positive experience in this role.
The PATS podcast welcomes Garrett Miller, currently an athletic trainer at Rider University and a recent graduate of the West Chester University Athletic Training Program and Graduate Assistant for the university.

This past summer, the PATS podcast had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Katherine Morrison, current professor and chairperson at West Chester University, and Jeff Frechette, who spent 37 years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Dartmouth College. Along with the help of many others, Jeff and Katie have been instrumental in helping launch the West Chester University Athletic Training Alumni Chapter. Tune in to hear our discussion of what the organization has in the works as it continues to build momentum into the future.

Who is else is ready for the start of college football?!?! During the PATS symposium this past June, Jason had the honor of sitting down with Rennie Sacco Med, AT-RET. Rennie began at Kutztown University in 1985 as the Head Athletic Trainer and enjoyed a remarkable 37 year career, where he worked with not only the university’s football team, but all of the varsity sports on campus. He was later appointed to the role of Director of Sports Medicine Services before he retired in June of 2022. At the symposium, Rennie's tireless efforts and contributions to the profession of athletic training was honored, as he received the 2023 PATS Service Award.
